And here´s another rare magazin from the Eighties, published by Babylon Books, Manchester/UK.
It is not a very elaborate low budget book (unknown author, 28 pages), written on a typewriter, with many black and white photos and the book tells the history of Heavy Metal and introduces some representatives of this genre.
But why the hell they thought to present John Mayall as an early representative of this style, of course I can’t understand … because that’s bullshit..
Babylon Books was run by the late John Muir, a crucial figure in Savoy history (another Book publisher who published music books) since it was he who suggested that Britton and Butterworth pool their resources when they were both making use of his print facilities.
Babylon Books also published books on Frak Zappa and Captain Beefhart, for example.
A nice trip in a decade, were Heavy Metal was real big !
